Adult Neurology

As our pediatric patients aged into adulthood, they needed adult neurology care. We worked with the University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Division of Epilepsy to create an Adult PKT Clinic for these patients. Soon after, we began to initiate adult patients onto PKT who had never been on any ketogenic therapy. The adult population ranges from young adults to senior citizens with seizures of many etiologies. Our PKT cookbooks designed specifically for this population are an important tool in maintaining compliance. Our Adult PKT Team optimizes PKT in the presence of other chronic diseases commonly found in adult patients.
